Keeping Up With the Clubs: Best Buddies
Best Buddies hosted a trunk-or-treat event on Friday, Oct. 28 in the teacher parking lot on campus. Six cars made up of a mixture of club members and parents showed up to the event for ESE students to go around and get candy. Cornhole boards and KanJam were set up in the parking lot for the students as well. Students engaged in activities like decorating bags for them to use during the trunk-or-treat and listening to Halloween music in ESE teacher Tammy Harris’ room before the trunk-or-treat started.
“Everybody loves Halloween and everybody loves candy so it’s kind of a no brainer,” Harris said.
Harris hopes her students will interact with each other and possibly learn new things about each other or meet new people during the event. Best Buddies will hold their next event on Nov. 9 where they will be doing crafts.
