Along with two friends, senior Efren Gonzalez traveled to Sanford in order to attend the observing event held at Seminole State College. After waiting more than an hour in line to get in and a rain delay, Gonzalez spent two hours learning more about the eclipse and viewing it at its peak with equipment provided by SSC.

“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I’m so happy that I had the chance to see it,” Gonzalez said
