My Singing Monsters

My Singing Monsters

My Singing Monsters, released on Sept. 4, 2012, allows players to complete challenges in order to collect monsters, which each sing a different tune. With more characters, islands and songs, sophomore Cailin Kilkenny still enjoys growing her monster choir. First downloaded when she was in third grade, Kilkenny enjoyed playing the game because she “liked singing the little songs and collecting the new characters.” Kilkenny used to play the game on an iPad shared with her two brothers but is now able to play on her iPhone, giving her more time to play during the day. “I enjoy it more now because I have more access to my phone, so I can play it more during classes that are boring or when I have a free period,” Kilkenny said. “I was kind of just searching through the games on the app store and saw it was available, so I downloaded it again.”

Other childhood games on her phone: Happy Wheels, Adventure Capitalist, My Virtual Family and Hair Salon

Available Platforms: Microsoft Store, Android, iOS, PlayStation
