On Friday, July 27, at the Superintendent’s Leadership Conference, Dr. Mary Williams received the SCPS Principal of the Year award.

Not only will Williams hold this title for the 2018-2019 school year, she also received a plaque, currently hanging in her office, and a check from the Seminole Association of School Administrators. The award was determined by Superintendent Walt Griffin and SASA.

“I am very honored to be recognized for my work by my peers,” Williams said.  “There are so many deserving, talented, and hard-working principals in SCPS and I am grateful to be able to work alongside them to make our students’ experiences in our schools as rewarding and productive as possible.”

To Williams, this title holds a lot of meaning.

“Hagerty High School is a high achieving organization where students and faculty strive to achieve excellence in all we do,” Williams said. “I am blessed to be the leader in an environment where it is the culture to work hard and accomplish the goals we set before us.”
