Pop Question: How safe do you feel at school?

We asked 111 students how they feel regarding the school’s safety. 72 percent of students feel relatively safe in the school, while 38.7 percent are uneasy on campus.

Greta Carrasco is a senior in high school and this is her fourth year on staff. Writing is anything but selfish for Carrasco. Getting into journalism meant using her voice to represent people who are under appreciated. Her storytelling helps to shed light on the diversity of our community and how we can become involved with making it better. Living as a quadruplet, her motivation was to find her own interests to distinguish herself from her siblings, including heavy involvement with Latinos in Action. Having a strong connection to her heritage, Carrasco advocates for Latinos to help them obtain more opportunities, support and success in life.

Andrew Wilson is a junior at Hagerty High School, and this is his first year on staff. He is excellent at writing fiction pieces, sketching realism, and designing graphics in Adobe.
