“Stranger Things” actress Millie Bobby Brown stars as Enola in the new Netflix Original movie “Enola Holmes,” a show-stopping film about Sherlock Holmes’ (Henry Cavill) younger sister. Dropped to Netflix on Sept. 23, “Enola Holmes” received stunning reviews from Rotten Tomatoes, and they are well deserved. 

When her mother suddenly goes missing, Enola Holmes is on a mission to find her. Along the way, she meets Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), who was someone Enola met along the way, has problems of his own and interferes with Enola’s search. The movie was full of action and mystery, and as the story went on the audience was able to decode the disappearance of Eudoria Holmes (Helena Bonham Carter) with Enola.

Popular actors like Brown, Cavill and Carter provided captivating performances, with no dull moments. The film takes place in the late 19th century and producers did a very good job of outfits, locations, and props that helped fit the setting.

Not only were characters relatable, but the character development was deep and the back stories were thoroughly explained. 

From jumping off of moving trains to outsmarting Sherlock himself, there was always something to look forward to in “Enola Holmes.” It differs from other movies because the main character is a strong female who solves mysteries people believed she could not. 

“Enola Holmes” flowed like a river, not once leaving the audience bored or uninterested. This movie is one of the best and most exciting out right now. Fans are already anticipating a sequel.
