Senior Samantha Bates- The effects of multi-walled carbon nanotubes on the viability of the euglena gracilis
Senior Samantha Bates wanted to see if the fitness of organisms would increase by adding carbon nanotubes to water that contained algae.
Freshman Neel Maity- Predicting the condition of thermal barrier coating
Freshman Neel Maity wanted to do a study on predicting how vulnerable particles were for entering the engine of a turbine blade, which could cause them to break.
Senior Salim Mouloua- The psychophysiological correlates of language processing in handedness
Senior Salim Mouloua used a brainwave study of left-handed and right-handed people to see if there was a correlation between their language skills and handedness based tasks.
Senior Samuel Naranjo- The affects of anxiety and identity development on moral consistency
Senior Samuel Naranjo created and tested a series of surveys on participants to determine whether or not people change their beliefs based on the majority.
Sophomore Reagan Pomp- Plant-based sunscreen
Sophomore Reagan Pomp made an all-natural sunscreen using the protectants plants create for the sun. Pomp decided to do this project since skin diseases have effected people she knows.
