Recipe – https://snacksandsips.com/starbucks-copycat-chai-tea-latte/

Ingredients –

  • Chai tea bags
  • Water
  • Milk of choice
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish
  • Ice

Total cost for me: $4

Total for all ingredients: $15

Starbucks grande cost: $5.83

Overall Review – 8/10

The DIY chai tea latte, while it did taste like a typical chai, did not live up to the original Starbucks drink. It was still tasty, but you have to mess around with the measurements to make everything balance out and taste perfect, or else you end up with sweet milk, which is nasty. While the Starbucks copycat recipe I followed was more tedious and took a little bit more time, there are multiple ways of changing it up to make it faster. Instead of using boiling water for tea on the stove, you can use a coffee pot or the microwave, which takes half the time. Although this recipe did take more time, it is a good option to have available when you do not feel like going to Starbucks.
