12 athletes sign during NCAA signing day

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, the auditorium was filled with students, family and coaches to support the 12 athletes from signing to colleges in the National Collegiate Athletic Association ceremony. 

The state championship girls volleyball team claimed five of the twelve athletes on the list. Jessica Buis committed to University of North Florida, Madison Coates committed to Bethune Cookman University, Sydney Conley committed to Florida Southern University, Emily Lawrence committed to University of Central Florida, and Audrey Douglas committed to Auburn University.

“I’ve always wanted to go to Auburn… as soon as I was on campus it felt like home.” Douglas said. “I’m looking forward to being able to play at the next level at my dream school.”

For lacrosse, Kienan Desguin signed to play at Saint Leo University, where she plans to major in criminal justice, and Christian Hofer will play for Embry Riddle Aeronautical School.  

“I picked Saint Leo because I love the campus, coaches, and all the players on the team,” Desguin said. 

Chloe Gallant is also committed to play girls lacrosse at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Ryan Caroll committed to play baseball at Embry Riddle Aeronautical school.

“I’m excited to be on my own and compete for a starting spot next year,” Carol said. 

Jackson Grabsky also signed for baseball and will be going to Jacksonville University, Aidan Kramer committed to the Georgia Institute of Technology for golf, and Angel Villanueva signed to Barry University to play softball.
